Why is counselling covered by NDIS?
"Families can play an important part in the lives of participants – both as a critical relationship and as a source of care and support. Some participants and families may need assistance to sustain these relationships." (www.ndis.gov.au/families-carers/family-supports).
The counselling will be relevant to -"Facilitating self-knowledge, emotional acceptance and growth and the optimal development of personal resources on a one to one basis. Assist participants to work towards their personal goals and gain greater insight into their lives." (www.ndis.gov.au/families-carers/family-supports).
